2007 Edition
The new, full colour, 2007 edition of The Elusive Beaches of Eleuthera is now available. It contains complete directions to all the wonderful beaches on our island and you can carry it with you on your vacation.
Every distance and every turn is meticulously documented so you can spend your vacation enjoying the beaches instead of trying to find them.
If you have a portable GPS receiver we include all the waypoints to access roads and the beaches themselves.
We give each beach an overall rating that sums up each of our more specific ratings. We then circle one of the colourful graphics to indicate how the beach scores.
The first specific rating is for access - how easy is it to get to this beach.
Once you get to a beach will you have it all to yourselves or will you have to share your piece of paradise with other people.
Some beaches are great for sunbathing and some are wonderful places to go for a swim. A few rate high in both categories.
If you enjoy snorkeling we show you the best spots with the most to see.
Beachcombing is especially interesting here because the beaches are not groomed so what ever washes up on a beach stays there.
New in the 2007 edition is the inclusion of some of Eleuthera's attractions. We of course show you how to find them, how the road condition is and let you know how we rate them overall.
