Harbour Island is perhaps the best know part of Eleuthera. A small island only a couple of miles NorthEast of the main island of Eleuthera, this is the home of the frequently photographed Pink Sand Beach.
Harbour Island is also know for the celebrities that frequently visit or have homes here. Celebrities such as Harrison Ford, Denzel Washington and Jimmy Buffet (be sure to check out Jimmy Buffet's "Cheeseburger in Paradise" at Ma Ruby's) to name a few.
Just a short taxi trip and water taxi ride from North Eleuthera airport, Harbour Island is definitely worth a visit. The accommodation here can be pricey, but there are still some deals to be had.
